Hamster News Report

HAMS ALL GONE!

There has been an incident at Salt Edge Primary School involving the Class 4 pet, Hammy the hamster. It was yesterday on the 19th of May when the news broke out to the students. For some odd reason Hammy has managed to escape from his cage and run away.

Before the half term that has just passed, Hammy was safe in his cage but drastically when the Class 4 teacher Patsy Jones returned after the half term she was shocked, Hammy was GONE! She went straight to the caretaker’s office because he was the only person who had been in the school over the one week holiday.

She asked “Do you have any idea where Hammy has gone?”

Joe Smith, the schools caretaker supposedly replied with “I saw him in his cage only yesterday when I went to feed him.”

Joe Smith said he had no idea about Hammys disappearance.
Over these last two days the Class 4 students have been very miserable and haven’t been communicating to each other or the teacher Patsy Jones. It seems like all they want is to get Hammy back or at least know where he has gone.
A anti-pet protester made a point recently out schools having pets been wrong and unfair on the actual animal.

They stated “I am totally against pets in schools and even in homes; I believe animals should be able to live in the wild and be free!”

Hammy has escaped and has left his cage, but will he ever be found or return himself?

Wreck It Ralph Review

Wreck It Ralph – 4/5 Stars

Wreck It Ralph is the new film at the cinema that everyone’s talking about. When I went to see I was hoping for a funny and interesting film, but something that hadn’t really been done before. It looked really good in the trailer so I was hoping for the best.

The genre of Wreck It Ralph was adventurous with some very funny moments and awkward times. The message the film makers were trying to get across was that people with a bad reputation can always do good things, especially when they try their best. The team of people that made the unbelievable film did what they tried to do and get that message across the viewers.

The plot of Wreck It Ralph is that Ralph sees his enemy in the game Fix it Felix Jr getting loads of credit for being able to fix everything that Ralph wrecks. So therefore Ralph wants to get credit like that of the entire neighbourhood just like Felix does. Every night Ralph watches Felix hang up his medal he has collected that day right by his others. Ralph went around the neighbourhood asking what he could do to be known as the “Good Guy”. Everybody tells him to go and try to do something good and get a medal for it, and then his reputation may change.  Ralph leaves his game to hunt for a shiny gold medal; his journey takes him to a war game called “Hero’s Duty” as well as a candy go kart racing game named “Sugar Rush”. He collects a medal in  the war game then is suddenly flown out to sugar rush were at first he loses his medal because a funny little young girl, Venellope van Schweetz who is nine years old, takes it off him. However he doesn’t know where it’s gone. It is a extremely mind blowing journey Ralph goes on seeing all of the different games in the arcade.

There are characters in Wreck It Ralph the movie. Obviously Ralph as he is the main characters, then there is Felix, Venellope and Sergeant Calhoun (She is from “Hero’s Duty”). King Candy plays a big part into ricking Ralph that his close friend Venellope is a glitch and therefore she cannot race it the big race that as taking place that day. There are other little girls in Sugar Rush that are races but King Candy lets them race because they are not glitches unlike Venellope. The people in Ralph’s game are characters in the movie as well.

I really enjoyed the film, I would give it 4/5 stars because it was adventurous and very funny. It had a lot of action taking place as well. It was cleverly designed the way the characters in games could leave their games by travelling through the wires leading to the power socket. They could then choose another wire leading to another game travel through there then they would be in that game.

One particular scene I enjoyed was when Ralph taught Venellope to drive her new candy car they had made together earlier that day. Ralph made a track around a cola pond and then Venellope was off like a flash, she picked it up so quickly, the music in the background really did go well with the scene.

I would strongly advise you to go and see this film because all of the family would enjoy it and it will be a great part of your family day out. The film isn’t like any other film – but in a very good way. It is amazing how somebody came up with brilliant idea – unbelievable film, a must see!

Globe Theatre

The globe theatre is a theatre where the plays Shakespeare rote were performed at a good quality. The best quality back in the 1500's.

The globe theatre was built in 1599 in Southwark on the south bank of London’s River Thames. It is built as a large round open theatre making it look like a dougnut from above. It holds up to 3,000 spectators, its 3 stories high of seating and is 100 feet in diameter. At the base of the stage there is an area called the pit which held the groundlings, they are the people that only paid a penny to stand and watch. There was also more places around the globe theatre which let people watch the shows being performed from the poor the the rich. One part of the stage was called the apron stage, it was a rectangular platform that thrut out into the pit so it felt like the audience in the pit were in the middle of the play. William Shakespeare was a shareholder and he owned 12.5% of the theatre which meant that the money the that the globe theatre made some of it went to him. Out side there where flags that were out to show the audience what play was going to be performed.
